About NFKF

The Nigerian Family Kulturforening (NFKF) represents the Nigerian community in Västra Götaland, it started in Sweden as a non-profit organisation in 1987 by Nigerians living in Gothenburg and its environs to express, uphold and propagate the interest and cultural heritage of Nigeria in Sweden.

NFKF Activities

NFKF Extra Classes

NFKF Extra Classes

Homework help as one of NFKF activities to help out with school work for young people and students upto to gymnasium level. This activitiy could also include adults who are doing vocational programs, adult aducation or those who wish to study more in Sweden, so that they need to do some competion of their subjects in secondary level.
Vandring Activities

Vandring Activities

Vandring activities are organised by the Nordost area of Gothenburg and NFKF participates in it. Volunteered members join members from other organisations and walk around the Kortedala, Bergsjön and angered part of Gothenburg. Currently we are in this activity every fridays
Sport activities

Sport activities

We invite members to the sports activities at Sandelklevshallen, the sports activities include, football, dance, basket ball, various card games, chess and more. The sports activities is held on fridays and saturdays from 19:00. Nordöst göteborg is the organisers of this program and NFKF members can participate.
NFKF driving classes

NFKF driving classes

NFKF currently organises driving classes to help our members achive their goal of getting a drivers license in Sweden. Members who need this assistance can join the group by filling the registration form and select driving class under activities. Registration form

Study Circles

NFKF organises study circle activities: These are activities organised by NFKF for members to learn new things that they are interested in. A group of members (minimun of three members) could come together to practice dancing or learn video editing for example, they become a study group with one of them as the leader of the group. The group is registered as a study circle, currently we register our circle with Vuxenskolan in Gothenburg.

Nigeria has very rich and vibrant culture and much of it we can see in our food, music, dance, customs and tradition. NFKF is focused to bringing these cultural values for others to experience.
